When I was young, everything was different! Back then, singles were still made of vinyl, not out of desperation. Back then, I could still remember everything, whether it had actually happened or not. And ‘unhealthy’ was just another word for ‘delicious’.

These days, I’m generally disinterested in most things. Before I get worked up again, I’d rather not give a damn. I also couldn’t care less who dies in a film. As long as the dog survives! Ever since I started imagining soap bubbles rising from politicians’ mouths when they speak, what they say is at least a treat for the eyes. These days I even know that a little afternoon nap is like topping the day off with cheese.

Seriously, life’s too short to be sad. We need to smile more – it unsettles people.

In his fifth solo show, Michael Ranz once again lets Tobias Saalfeld put plenty of words into his mouth. Two sessions practising smirking, smiling and laughing. Professionals are also allowed to shriek, guffaw, cheer and slap their thighs.

So switch off your mobiles and just enjoy life!!!

By the way, I reckon when little people open their umbrellas, they look like mushrooms.
