After years in Vietnam, 17-year-old Kien returns to the small Czech town of Cheb. His parents are traders at a Vietnamese market there, which secures their livelihood but also creates dependency with its mafia-like structures. The film tells the story of the time after Kien's return from the different perspectives of Kien, his father and his little brother, with each chapter adding new revelations. The film is based on the director's experiences in Cheb, near the Czech-German border, where the huge Vietnamese dragoon market is located.
