A tribute to a legend – an anniversary stage show to mark Peter Alexander’s 100th birthday

Following the overwhelming success of the musical comedy “Servus Peter”, which delighted over 260,000 audience members, entertainer Peter Grimberg is now bringing a new anniversary stage show to the stage: “Servus, Peter! 100 Years of Peter Alexander – A Tribute!”.

This special production pays tribute to the unforgettable Viennese entertainer on the occasion of his 100th birthday and promises an unforgettable experience for all fans.

Peter Grimberg, born in Steyr, Upper Austria, has been a regular on international stages as a singer and entertainer for over two decades. He discovered his passion for music at a young age, inspired by greats such as Elvis Presley and, in particular, Peter Alexander. After training as a car mechanic, he followed his heart and won the “Golden Microphone” on the Rudi Carrell Show in 1990, which laid the foundation for his artistic career.
In 2007, Grimberg created the light-hearted musical stage comedy “Servus Peter”, in which he paid an impressive tribute to his idol, Peter Alexander. In the role of head waiter Peter, he played and sang his way into the hearts of the audience, even sharing the stage with the original ‘Rössl landlady’, Waltraut Haas.
In the new anniversary stage show, audiences can look forward to two hours packed with music, sketches and nostalgic memories – presented in the style of the legendary Peter Alexander shows.
Peter Grimberg performs the Viennese artist’s greatest hits, adding his own personal touch without coming across as an imitator or parodist. The renowned actress Waltraut Haas praised him, saying: “You are a shining light.”
A special highlight of the show are personal video messages from Peter Alexander’s former colleagues and friends, including Roberto Blanco, Ralph Siegel and Peter Weck. The audience will also be treated to ‘special guests’ on stage: Andreas Lebbing, the singer from the cult Schlager group ‘WIND’, and the ever-popular comedian Horst Freckmann.
With this anniversary stage show, Peter Grimberg pays a fitting tribute to the legacy of Peter Alexander and invites the audience to reminisce together.
