Görlitz Salon Quartet

Elegance, nostalgia and joie de vivre: when the sky is full of violins.

Since its foundation in 2023 by the renowned pianist Olga Dribas, the Görlitz Salon Quartet has made it its mission to carry on the splendid tradition of café and salon music in Upper Lusatia. Together with the experienced cellist Leon Szostakowski and the talented violinists Lucía López Borrego and Ekaterina Khoroshilova, the quartet brings the splendour of bygone eras back to life.

A repertoire that enchants The musicians devote themselves to the seemingly inexhaustible repertoire of light-hearted light music that characterised the salons from Vienna to Paris in the 19th century. Immerse yourself in a world full of:

• Viennese waltzes and melodies: from Johann Strauss to Franz Lehár.
• Passionate rhythms: spirited tango and fiery Hungarian csárdás.
• Unforgettable classics: Evergreens by Robert Stolz and the rousing Radetzky March.

A treat for all the senses The quartet’s afternoon concerts are a complete experience. Well-known singers are often invited as guests to delight the audience with popular hits and operetta melodies – all in a cosy atmosphere over coffee and cake.
