Did you know that there are up to 1.4 billion insects for every human being? In a world that could not exist without these tiny creatures, the ensemble ‘Die Liederlichen’ invites you on a very special journey of discovery. The theatrical and musical ensemble from the ‘J. A. Hiller’ Music School in Görlitz presents ‘Liederliches Mikroversum’, a parable that is as topical as it is enchanting.

Flight, diversity and the annual meadow ball In the midst of preparations for the grand meadow ball, disaster strikes on the neighbouring meadow: a fire forces the inhabitants there to flee across the river. The local insects face an existential decision: is there enough nectar for everyone? How should they deal with the strangers’ habits and the new rules imposed by the new arrivals?

Chansons and drama Set against a backdrop of old German chansons, a poetic spectacle unfolds, using the insect world as a mirror to reflect on human coexistence.
