The Bautzen Air Show took off for the first time in August 2004. With just around ten aircraft, but all the more passion and enthusiasm, a success story began that has unfolded over two decades. In 2024, we proudly celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Bautzen Air Show – a special milestone for organisers, participants and visitors alike.
2025 also brought another real highlight: the legendary Czechoslovakian L-29, a historic jet aircraft, was on display at the event and thrilled the audience in the skies above Bautzen.
From 7 to 9 August 2026, the Bautzen Air Show will be hosting Saxony’s biggest air show for the 22nd time. Once again , it’ll be time to start the engines and fasten your seatbelts! Bautzen Airfield will once again be the highlight of the season and a magnet for thousands of visitors from all over Saxony and beyond.
