Practical workshop on natural gardening
Would you like to design your garden close to nature and rich in species, but have no idea where to start or how? Maybe we have just the thing for you!
On 18.04.2026 the community garden Zusammen.Wachsen is organising a practical workshop on exactly this topic from 10 am - 3 pm!
We are delighted to have found Nicole Schmalenberger from Dresden to lead the workshop, who will share her knowledge with us thanks to her experience as a natural garden planner and designer!
In our practical workshop, you will learn the basics of natural garden design - from planning to realisation. In the theoretical part, you will learn how to create habitats for insects, birds and amphibians, which native plants are suitable and how to care for your garden without harming nature.
In the practical part, we will create a small natural garden together: We will plant native perennials and create near-natural structures. You can try out what you have learnt and take it home with you and into your garden!
The workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in natural gardens - whether you are a beginner or an advanced gardener.
We will include a lunch break and provide you with a small, warm snack.
Thanks to funding from the European Social Fund, you can take part in the workshop free of charge.
Please bring along: Weatherproof clothing, sturdy shoes
